    21-year old Maria Selena, from Central Java, was crowned Puteri Indonesia 2011 during the event held at the Ritz Carlton hotel in Jakarta.



    The 1st runner-up was Liza Purnamasari (20) from East Java, while the 2nd runner-up was Andi Tenri Natassa, from South Sulawesi (19).

    Selena will now represent Indonesia at the 2012 Miss Universe pageant. While Purnamasari is expected to attend the Miss International beauty contest to be held in China.

    Reigning Miss Universe Leila Lopes was present at the event. Artika Sari Devi, Puteri Indonesia 2004 (and finalist in Miss Universe 2005) was one of the judges.

Puteri Indonesia 2011 will be held on October 7th 2011

    Road to Puteri Indonesia 2011


    Puteri Indonesia 2011, the 16th edition of Annual Puteri Indonesia beauty pageant, will be held at Assembly Hall in Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta, Indonesia on October 7th 2011. Thirty eight contestants from all 33 provinces of Indonesia will compete for the title of Puteri Indonesia.

    Nadine Alexandra Dewi Ames, Puteri Indonesia 2010 from Jakarta Special Capital Region 4, will pass the crown to her successor at the end of this event. Miss Universe 2011 Leila Lopes will present during the event and will crown the new beauty queen.

    The winner will represent Indonesia at the Miss Universe 2012, while the first and second runner-ups will represent the nation at the Miss International 2012 and the Miss Asia Pacific World 2012 respectively. The event will broadcast live on Indonesian television network, Indosiar.
